I had one question. You said that buy the two oils for OCM cost under 5 bucks, but when I went to buy CO and EVOO, they both together cost me a little over 10 bucks. And the castor bottle is soooo small that I doubt it'll last me the whole month. So as far as cost goes, I don't think that OCM is cheaper since I can buy a face cleanser like Biore for 7 bucks and that lasts for atleast 2 months. BUT don't get me wrong. I love the OCM and it works great for me. So much so that I'll spend that extra money to keep my face looking great, which the other products can't. I just don't find OCM cheap though. Does anyone know any tips on finding these oils for cheap?
Hi Sam,
I'm in the UK so when I say a fiver I mean £5, roughly $10! Also since writing the article sadly prices on things such as caster oil have been rising here. In comparison to other natural & organic cleansers I still think it is much cheaper though.
Perhaps seek out buying the caster oil in bulk? Although the initial cost would be more I'm sure it would work out cheaper. Good luck with your search!
You mentioned witch hazel as a product of use, but didn't quite mention at what stage of cleansing to use it, or how concentrated the witch hazel should be.
Hi, well spotted.. I use Witch Hazel as a cleanser when I don't use OCM (i.e. if I feel my skin only needs OCM once a day I will use Witch Hazel in the morning and OCM at night)
As for concentration I use pure distilled witch hazel on a cotton ball wiped lightly over my face - this may be too strong though, so you can try it diluted to find out what your skin prefers. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this post!!! (p.s. did you know this post is the #1 google hit when you google "oil cleansing method"?

Anyway, I had horrible persistent acne I could NOT get rid of. I tried Proactiv and it turned my skin into burning sandpaper -WITH zits! I tried OCM and almost all the zits are gone, gone, gone and my skin feels great. I am so happy!

Oh wow, I didn't know that, thanks for pointing it out :) It seems to have dropped a couple of places on my Google but even so, I'm impressed!

I'm glad you got great results!
I found a site to purchase oils. The site is www.nutritiongeeks.com Their prices seem more reasonable than I have seen out there. Check it out

There are many places to buy the oils for really reasonable prices.

There are many places to buy the oils for really reasonable prices. You can get a big 16 oz bottle of Castor Oil for like $4.50US on the sites I listed below. I just received my oils (Jojoba, Castor Oil and Almond Oil) for the OCM today. I have enough to last for a few months.

Here are a couple of places I have purchased from: IHerb.com and Vitacost.com

I know from the product reviews that people from all of the world order from IHerb.com
